Buy a brick high in the sky

Adventure Ashram has part-funded the build of a spectacular community centre in Kaza, Spiti Valley, India. It is a showcase for building in a traditional way with rammed earth and mud bricks. The building can keep itself warm, its uses modern solar technology and is earthquake resistant. The leader of the project, Adventure Ashram Patron, Joan Pollock hopes that the building will revolutionalise the way homes and government buildings are built. The race is on to complete the community centre ahead of the grand opening on 31 July 2015.
