The Ted Jervis Fund for Excellence in Ideas and Adventure
A fund for Excellence in Ideas and Adventure has been created in memory of fellow adventurer and dear friend Ted Jervis. Each year young people connected to the charities Adventure Ashram supports will be invited to submit an amazing idea they have or adventure they would like to make happen. The level of the prize money will differ and Ted's family will choose the winners.
Here is a note from Ted’s son Andy.
“We knew about Dad’s love of adventure from an early age. We’d known that he’d lied about his age to get into the Army, serving in Italy and Malaya. Later his work designing and building asphalt plants and quarry equipment took him all around the world, from China to the US and from Japan to Finland.
In later years he rediscovered motorcycling, and it’s as though the Enduro India trips he shared with fellow adventurers were designed just for him. He loved the bikes, the places, and most of all the people that he met and journeyed with. And he loved India.
If you would like to contribute to the Fund and help carry on this essential work, please click on the Make a Donation button at the top of the page.
With love and thanks.
